It is up to the parents to bring their children to an orthodontic control when the first permanent teeth (around the age of 5.5-6 years) appear, or even earlier when should the parents find irregularities in the shape or position of the jaws or teeth and difficulty chewing, swallowing, speaking, breathing.<\/p>\n<p>It is quite a wrong advice often given to the parents to wait until all the children\u2019s permanent teeth erupt to start the orthodontic treatment. Most often,common methods are needed for complex treatment aimed not only at straightening the teeth, but also the jaws. This is possible and easily done just by the age of eruption of all the permanent teeth (around the age of 13-14).<\/p>\n<p>Straightening the teeth without correcting the jaws position is as you build a house on a crooked, incorrect foundation. This way, the teeth will become crooked again shortly after completing the treatment and removing the braces, treatment which in this way was long and difficult.
